PUBLICATIONS
Co-wrote SPE paper No. 88720, "Vertical Conformance in a Mature Carbonate CO2 Flood: Salt Creek Field Unit, Texas.”
Wrote UCRL-ID-140245, "Analysis of Fragmentation and Resulting Shrapnel Penetration of Naturally Fragmenting Cylindrical Bombs.”
Ryder Scott Co. LP 2006 to PresentPetroleum engineer performing reserve estimations for properties in the Gulf of Mexico and other areas in accordance with SEC and SPE reserves estimation guidelines.
ExxonMobil Corp. 2001 to 2006Reservoir Engineer – Permian BasinEvaluated the Canyon and Strawn formations, multi-layer carbonate oil reservoirs undergoing secondary and tertiary recovery. Evaluated field surveillance, pattern analysis and enhanced oil-recovery mechanisms, production declines and volumetrics, WAG cycles, developmental drilling, EOR tax credits, and economics of remedial workovers. Assessed workover program, including analyzing complex multi-layer evaluations in producers and injectors. Helped develop best practices for profile control.
Subsurface Engineer – Wyoming Tight Gas and Sour GasDesigned and implemented completions and workovers in tight-gas sandstones in western Wyoming. Analyzed fracture stimulation in vertical and horizontal wells, underbalanced cleanouts, coiled tubing and wireline work, fishing and snubbing. Designed and implemented multi-stage refrac and recompletion program. Evaluated the Madison formation, a deep, HT/HP carbonate reservoir. Designed and implemented highly specialized workovers.
Subsurface Engineer – West Texas and UtahEvaluated carbonate and sandstone reservoirs undergoing primary, secondary and tertiary recovery. Designed and wrote work procedures for workovers.
