Summary of Employment

Ryder Scott Co. LP    2010 to Present
Geologist

Roxar Inc.    2008 to 2010
Senior Reservoir Geologist/Consultant
Primarily responsible for leading projects specialized of geomodeling, simulation, reservoir and field studies as well as other specialized projects by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge reservoir modeling characterization.

  • Managed a Kutz project for Pemex.  Kutz is a block of Cantarell field at Gulf of Mexico. Coordinated and planned of all geological, geophysical and engineering activities.  Prepared schedule and set both goals and deadlines for each member of the team.  Integrated all results and built a 3D geocellular model for Eocene and Cretaceous units.
  • Built 3D geocellular models for Knotty Head in Green Canyon and Jack prospects in GOM.  These models adhered to best practice methods compiled by Statoil model team in Norway.  The Jack structural model was challenging with very complex faults relationships and poor seismic quality in some areas affected by salt.
  • Built 3D geocellular model for Lagunillas field in Maracaibo Lake basin Venezuela, the challenge was the extensive data available Vs the short time available, this model was build in 30 days and played a key factor for the next wells drilling campaign of PDVSA.
  • Built 3D geocellular models for both Julia and Tucker prospects in GOM, these models were used for simulation and received the good view and approval from expert in Statoil Norway to go through the next decision gate stage.
  • Increased Roxar’s software support customer satisfaction rate.

Roxar de Venezuela, C.A.,    2006 to 2007
Reservoir Geologist/Consultant

  • Promoted and transferred to Houston office in order to support to increase Roxar business in Americas area.
  • Built 3D geocellular models for both Sihil and Akal areas of Cantarell field, Mexico, Akal area has a very extended well data of over 300 wells and both with a very complex structural history involving both extension and compression systems.  These models received the good view and approval from expert in Pemex and played a key factor for the next wells drilling campaign.
  • Built 3D geocellular model for Lagunas field, Maracaibo Lake, Venezuela, this model received the good view and approval from expert in PDVSA and was used as input for decision making process.
  • Built 3D geocellular model for Bare field, Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, this model received the good view and approval from expert in PDVSA and was use for both reserve report and wells plan.

Petrolera Ameriven S.A.     2003 to 2006
Development Geologist
ChevronTexaco, ConocoPhillips and PDVSA Partnership, Orinoco Heavy Oil Belt.
Part of the “Well Construction Team”, responsible for well planning and drilling monitoring as geologist well site, seismic interpretation, core description, well log interpretation, well correlations, preparation of legal documents for drilling permission, recommend and supervise contractor companies, reserve calculation, maps generation and be mentor for younger geologist.

  • Proposed, planned and monitored 23 successful horizontal wells and kept the target daily oil production rate of 190,000 BOPD.
  • Proposed locations, prepared plans and program, monitor drilling progress, wire line logs QC as well site geologist of 25 stratigraphic wells, using this new information to make the 30 years drilling program.
  • Coordinated valuable field study, conducting a wells temperature logs campaign, recording logs in the field, data analysis, completion of a gradient map and geologic model integration.  This project was a key factor on the 3D geocellular model construction.
  • Developed a solid seismic interpretation of the reservoir base “weathered basement” this interpretation is used to design well plan in order to keep the well trajectory within the reservoir.

Geological Intern/Contractor     2002 to 2003
Conduct a special scientist study using Spectral Gamma Ray Log and Core data.

  • Developed a solid correlation ratio between Spectral Gamma Ray log and Core data, using clay minerals content values and Th, U and K log curves.  Results used to predict the geographic location of the cost line.
