Ryder Scott does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy or reliability of the SOS software and disclaims its fitness for any particular purpose.

Two steps for obtaining the SOS software:

License Renewals
If you use the 2009 SOS programs and are a client, then download the license file refresher and contact your Ryder Scott representative for the refresher password. They will help get your older versions working quickly.

The programs automatically expire on the last day of the calendar year. At that time, Ryder Scott will replace the expired versions with new SOS programs at no cost for clients. The firm also will consider replacing expired programs for non-clients depending on circumstances. Ryder Scott reserves the right to renew program licenses or to let them expire at its sole discretion.

Upgrades
Ryder Scott occasionally releases upgrades to its SOS suite of software. This is done without notice to clients.

Clients wishing to install an updated version of any SOS program they use are advised to first remove the older version. This is done easily using the “Add or Remove Programs” function of the Windows™ Control Panel. Installing an update over a pre-existing version of an SOS program may appear to work but unexpected errors of software execution failures often result.

Support and Training
SOS programs Snap and ProCast have commercial-quality, Windows-based hypertext help documentation. Forecast and Tank have more limited documentation. PTA has no documentation, but fee-based support is available from Ryder Scott and other third parties. Current Ryder Scott clients with simple requests receive free support. In addition, Ryder Scott offers fee-based training. For technical support and training information on the SOS software, contact sos@ryderscott.com.

Use of Data from Submission Form
Ryder Scott will use information from the submission form to send program updates to users via e-mail. In some cases, Ryder Scott will use the form to send hard-copy or electronic newsletters to SOS users. Please click on Newsletters to review the Reservoir Solutions newsletters. Those wishing to be taken off the e-mail or mailing list for the publication need only to respond via e-mail to mike_wysatta@ryderscott.com with that request. Ryder Scott will immediately remove those users from the mailing list.
